I am Jaybill McCarthy and this is my website. Who the heck am I? Well, let’s see… Professionally, I’m a sort of web application ninja. (Though there’s tell I will be doing something different soon.) I’ve built a number of things with PHP and the Zend Framework, but I’ve also done a lots of other stuff, including desktop development with .NET/Mono and Java web applications using stuff like Grails and Play. There was that one incident with Ruby on Rails, but I don’t really like to talk about that.

I love to cook (and eat) and I guess I’m pretty okay at both. I like making stuff, playing video games, watching movies and lots of other things. I live in Portland, Oregon with my girlfriend Sarah, my roommates Eric and Althea, my brother Jeff and his dogs Jelly and Jam, my dog Mister Pants and my cat, Bob. Don’t worry, we live in a big house.
