This is a really neato video I came across a week or two ago. It uses the tilt-shift technique which gives it a toy-like quality. I’ve seen this done with still photos, this is the first video I’ve seen. I think the artist’s choice to run it at a faster-than-life speed helps the toy illusion quite a bit.
Even so, I’m putting tilt-shift on notice. It’s well on its way to becoming the next HDR. That is to say, an interesting photographic technique that gets beat to death from overuse.
